Deadline is Coming Up!

The deadline to file petitions as independent candidates for county office is Noon Thursday, April 5, 2018.  This is also the deadline to file for non-partisan offices like Judge and School Board that will appear on the August 2, 2018 Shelby County General Election.  Noon Thursday, April 5, 2018  is also the deadline to file all petitions for State and Federal office - both partisian and independent.

Thinking of Running for Office?

Ever thought about running for public office?  Attend this informative class to learn about the process.  It will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. at our Operations Center, 980 Nixon Drive.

Municipal elections for Bartlett, Collierville, Germantown, Lakeland, and Millington will be held in conjunction with the State and Federal Election on November 6, 2018.  Friday, May 18th is the first day to pick up petitions for these municipal offices.  Petitions for these offices are due by Noon on August 23, 2018

Ever consider running for office?

Ever consider running for office? The Shelby County Election Commission (SCEC) is offering a class for people who are, so they can learn exactly what they must do to get their names on the ballot.
SCEC will hold the second of two classes on the subject on Saturday, January 20 at 10 a.m at the Operations Center at 980 Nixon Drive. The class will last about an hour, and is completely non-partisan.
